Guests staying at one of our lodges will need to meet at Last Spike Lodging parking area (43 kilometres west of Revelstoke, about a 30 minute drive) by 5:00 PM on the day before your first day of skiing. Our secure parking area is located at the Last Spike Lodging (4885 Lybarger Road). It is on your right, just a quarter mile after you turn off the Trans-Canada Highway #1 onto Lybarger Road.
From the Last Spike Lodging, guest transportation via K3 vehicles and snowcat will be provided to the lodge and will take about 45 minutes. After checking in, dinner will be served at 7:00 PM. On your first morning starting at about 8:00 AM, there will be a review of Snowcat Safety and an Avalanche Rescue practice prior to your first day of skiing. On all other days we will depart from the lodge around 8:45 AM, returning to the lodge in the afternoon between 3:30 and 4:00 PM.
On your final day of skiing you will be able to ski a full day, but we will require you to pack up most of your gear in the morning. After your last run we will return to the lodge where we will have a quick apres-ski snack and you can change into your regular clothes if you'd like. After packing up your ski gear we will transport you in the cat back to the vehicle parking lot, you should arrive there between 4:30 and 5:00 PM.
We provide the following safety equipment for all of our guests:
You are welcome to bring your own safety gear (backpack, shovel and probe), but you will be required to use K3’s transceivers.
We do not supply skis or snowboards. If you require powder ski or board rentals, we recommend Revelstoke Powder Rentals. Mention that you are skiing with K3 to get the special K3 rate! If you are not driving from Revelstoke, we can pick up your skis or snowboards from Revelstoke Powder Rentals for you, but you must let us know at least two days in advance so we can make arrangements to pick them up for you.
