Lodge Routine

Guests staying at our lodge will need to be at our Lybarger Road parking area (43 kilometers west of Revelstoke, about a 30 minute drive) by 5:00 PM on the day before your first day of skiing. Look for Last Spike Lodging at 4885 Lybarger Road as this is where we have secure parking, it is on your right, just a quarter mile after you turn off the highway onto Lybarger Road. From the Last Spike Lodging transportation will be provided to the lodge.  Travel time from the Last Spike Lodging to the lodge is about 45 minutes.  After checking in dinner will be served at 7:00 PM. On your first morning, starting at about 8:00 AM, there will be a review of Snowcat Safety and an Avalanche Rescue practice. On all other days we will depart from the lodge around 8:45 AM returning to the lodge in the afternoon between 3:30 and 4:00 PM.

On your final day of skiing you will be able to ski a full day, but we will require you to pack up most of your gear in the morning.  After your last run we will return to the lodge where, if you like, you will be able to have a shower and change into your regular clothes that you will have left unpacked. After packing up your ski gear we will transport you in the cat back to the vehicle parking lot, you should arrive there between 4:30 and 5:00 PM.

Equipment

We provide the following safety equipment for all of our guests:

Transceiver, Shovel, Probe, Radio and Backpack

You are welcome to bring your own safety gear, but you will be required to use K3’s transceivers.

We do not supply skis or snowboards.  If you require rentals, we recommend Revelstoke Powder Rentals. Mention that you are skiing with K3 to get the special K3 rate.  We will pick up your skis or snowboards from Revelstoke Powder Rentals if you are not driving from Revelstoke, but you must let us know at least a day in advance that we need to pick them up!
